Paedophilia and the corruption of the state

Brian Gerrish talks about child abuse and state corruption on Freedom Talk Radio. [June 2016]

Summary of evidence that the whole state structure is malevolent and not to be trusted.

  •   Sheer number of children being taken into care.

  • The number of child abuse reports.

  • The huge sums of money involved when a child is taken into the system: lawyers, court experts, social workers, adoption agencies, foster carers etc

  • Government uses paedophilia to blackmail politicians so they do what they want. The evidence was produced by the BBC. Tim Fortescue admitted as much. [See Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwkOWPauu_A ]

  • Attack on survivors and whistleblowers, whatever their status.

  • Repeated state denial and cover-up that anything is wrong.

  • Interference or shelving of police child abuse investigations.

  • Failure to keep child abuse records for those in care.

  • Sealing of care home records for 75 to 80 years.

  • Protection of establishment figures accused of child abuse.

"Once the Named Person is in, you haven`t got a chance because the child is no longer yours."

Invitation to write to Mr Bob Neill MP

Yesterday Brian Gerrish informed UK Column viewers that Melanie Shaw, the whistleblower for child abuse in Beechwood home in Nottingham, is still in prison.

"She is weeks into prison. She badly needs our help and support because essentially now she`s a political prisoner. Still in prison to make sure her evidence can`t actually damage MPs who are being named by various witnesses in relation to child abuse. So the government doesn`t want to talk about this. Now we`ve go Keith Vaz, selected for the Justice committee. This would be a committee that should be working to make a judgement on what is happening to Melanie Shaw. I`m going to say I received a letter from Melanie - this is one of two letters I personally received from her over about 24 weeks and Melanie has been saying that her mail has been interfered with and withheld."

"I`ll read this. This is part of a letter:"
"I feel I cannot take my foot off the pedal, so to say, on such a sensitive issue as lives are at stake here, innocent children`s lives, despite my own circumstance, which are abysmal as I`m held in segregation still. Justice, care and the prevention of child abuse remain my main concern."
"Love and blessings to you and your small army of helpers. Thank everyone for their love and support please as it gets me through my ordeal."
"So here is this immensely brave woman who spoke out about the abuse of children in Beechwood children`s home Nottingham. She discovers that Nottinghamshire constabulary were lying in their conduct of operation Daybreak. They said they were investigating her evidence. It was proven that that was absolutely not the case and when Melanie flagged this up, very quickly she`s being harassed by Nottinghamshire police. She`s eventually put in prison on an arson charge. She`s released, she`s bullied, harassed. She`s lost her son, she`s lost her house and now the British state under the hand of Theresa May, home secretary, puts her back in prison where we do not even know whether she`s been charged or sentenced or is on remand and that is the case for Melanie herself. No idea why she`s in prison but she`s still kept in solitary confinement."

And of course according to the UN and our very own Guardian solitary confinement is torture...See Solitary confinement isn`t punishment. It`s torture.

"What can we do? Well have a look at this man. You can go on to the parliamentary site and have a look but we`ve got Bob Neill chair of the Justice Select Committee - so he`s going to be boss for Keith Vaz presumably Mike. And he says that Select committees are one of the ways that `we as MPs hold Government to account` ... Don`t believe a word of that but I think we can do something through this. `We look into the workings of the ministry of Justice and the various agencies that are accountable to that... the Attorney General who`s the Government`s chief legal advisor and also oversees the work of the Crown Prosecution Services ... We are taking evidence from people who want to give us their experience, their view... you can suggest topics ... where the system hasn`t worked... we send out a call for evidence... the public can contribute... some will be invited before the committee... issue report submitted to government.... can be debated on the floor of house`..."

"I felt this morning that perhaps our viewers might like to take on Mr Bob Neill MP. You might like to present the case of Melanie Shaw or indeed any other child abuse cases to this man and let`s put the ... committee now including Keith Vaz on the spot because I think in Keith Vaz`s professional career he was the legal officer for one of the London inner city boroughs where child abuse was taking place. So he would surely have a deep interest in exposing what was actually happening then and there."

Permanence: a child`s best interest

As pointed out by Professor Andrew Bilson speaking at Idea Space: Thinking for a better Scotland,  the number of children going into care is on the increase. One way for the child protection system to cope with that is to urge decision makers to make decisions more quickly. It is like speeding up the conveyor belt in order to process more children through the system without increasing staff.
Edinburgh hosted a `passion for permanence event` in order to encourage child protection workers to reduce drift and delay and get children quickly into a permanent living arrangement.

Now, nobody wants foster children to be bounced from one foster carer to another with all the changes and ensuing disturbance that a system like that involves. The problem is that the `passion for permanence` group are conflating this scenario with decision making about removing children from their families in the first place. Removing children quickly from their families, putting them deliberately into a permanent placement means there is no way back for those children. If that is the wrong decision, it is a disaster.

Yet not a flicker of anxiety is expressed about that from those promoting a `passion for permanence`:
"There was so much sharing of change ideas and ‘light bulb’ moments, and a real determination and belief in the room that real improvement to these young lives comes from everyone around the child working together to make a difference and cut delays."
https://www.celcis.org/knowledge-bank/search-bank/blog/2016/11/passion-permanence/
When local authorities are strapped for cash but more children are being processed through the children`s hearing system into care, the last thing they want is to have to accommodate contact between children and their families in expensive contact centres. Therefore they have to find a rationale for reducing contact. Building in the idea of permanence from the beginning of the process means contact between children and their families can be seen as a threat to a successful permanence arrangement. It is far too upsetting for the children and since they are leaving anyway ...best get on with it.

Though they talk of resilience, no light bulb switches on to say that children have a right to see their parents and siblings; or that in most cases family contact acts as an emotional buffer against the harsh realities of life. Just reduce the contact to zero as quickly as possible. Any upset about that expressed by children can be interpreted as an attachment issue, something that permanence is supposed to address. It could not involve a more circular argument.

CELCIS has done a great job to engage with the children`s hearing system while pushing forward the idea that it is necessary for panel members, reporters, social workers and others to be aware of permanence, attachment issues and who contact arrangements are actually for, because they are certainly not for parents. Decision makers therefore must ask the question: does contact serve the best interests of these children?

Well, not if permanence is the option, child protection workers are led to believe.

 =======================

The gun has already been loaded against the parents - and the family - but it has also been designed to get worse.
In 2015, the Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB) commissioned the Centre for Excellence for Looked After Children in Scotland (CELCIS) to carry out a research study looking at the role of solicitors in the children’s hearings system...
[The 2011 Act establishes the presence of solicitors to act for children and relevant persons in order to ensure their effective participation and rights under the EHRC.]
http://www.chip-partnership.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/CELCIS-SLAB-Solicitor-Study-2016.pdf
As it happens few children have the capacity to call on a solicitor to assist them, but desperate parents [relevant persons] with free legal aid are more than likely to engage with a solicitor when their children are being forcibly removed from their care. But here is the problem: Solicitors are being encouraged to collaborate unquestioningly with decision makers who are held to have the best interests of the child at stake. As SLAB says:
The view that solicitors are duty-bound to act on the instructions and in the interests of their client, and, that this may complicate any requirement to act in the best interests of the child is somewhat simplistic, and should be explored and clarified. Even so, this idea has become the source of significant challenges for the hearings system, and some participants in hearings feel it results in disruption to the care of children via the introduction of damaging delay...

Guidance for solicitors from SLAB makes it clear that they should ensure that the interests of the child remain central to the hearing.

How is a parent and their desperate children supposed to fight against an overzealous or corrupt system who are taking the children away when all parts of the system are expected never to question the official line of a child`s best interest? And that includes the solicitor who is supposed to be defending the rights of their clients.?

Meanwhile all this happens in a place that is not open to public scrutiny?

The future of education

Peggy Robertson

"The little blurb for the show states, "How can the science of learning help us rethink the future of education for all children?" Nothing alluding to emotion at this point. Of course there’s a big focus on ALL children and science, my friends, will get us there."

"It begins with the usual suspects, Linda Darling-Hammond busts out first with a statement about inequality being our Achilles heel. She’s followed by Kahn who wants us to have an "equal shot regardless where we are born."
"It all sounds great. Really feel good stuff. And then it gets moving. The narrator wants us to discover how science can give all children this so-called equal shot not food, not shelter, not equal access to books, democratic classrooms, libraries, fine arts nope, science will get us there."

"The next message goes like this don’t ask kids to beat the odds, use science to change the odds. "

"They follow up with a pretty strong statement. They state: Our brains aren’t wired to learn to read."

"Stephen Krashen states, `There is a lot of evidence that shows that reading is natural. We learn to read the same way we acquire language, by understanding messages. Also, in print-rich societies, everybody with access to print learns how to read, unless there are serious neurological or psychological problems`."

"So, based on what Dr. Krashen is saying, equal access to books, librarians and libraries might solve this problem, huh?"

"Yet, nope. No need for that. Because we have SCIENCE. And……..there are ways to change the brains of children in order to level the playing field."
"Really???!!!! Who knew that scientists could-should-and-would manipulate the brains of children but okay BRING it NOVA. Oh they do. Just wait."

"They soften us up by talking about the perils of poverty. They do seem very concerned and compassionate. So concerned that they want to figure out a way to help children not be distracted by the stresses and distractions which come with poverty, such as violence, hunger, lack of shelter, fatigue all those distractions that make it difficult to learn. They decide that science, and specifically looking at and altering the way the brain works, will solve this problem."

"So in a nut shell, they have no plans to protect children from poverty, they intend to keep making money off children in poverty, and they will alter their behaviors and emotions to make sure they can make even more money all the while, keeping these kids in check, under control and compliant AND they are going to make them LIKE IT…or at least appear as though they do. Got that?"

"Just in case you don’t, they have examples of how they plan to do it."
"For starters, they show a little boy wearing headphones listening to a story during which they interject a second story on another speaker, making it difficult to focus on the first story. Next, they emit random noises from an additional third source. Meanwhile, the child’s head is all wired up as they watch his brainwaves. They want to see if the child can focus on the first story with all these distractions! You know, kind of like gun shots outside your window might be a distraction from doing your homework, while you stand in eye’s view of the window, cooking dinner for your younger siblings? No worries these kids are going to learn how to deal."

"They have another young child in a Head Start preschool where she is asked to play `Dr. Distraction` where she walks along a strand of yarn while not dropping a plastic frog held on a spoon, all the time children on either side banging sticks to distract her. Sounds like a relaxing day in preschool doesn’t it? The goal is to strengthen the `architecture of the brain.` Everyone applauds her when she is done."

The lesser of two evils ?

"Prof. Michael Hudson, economist and author of 'Killing the Host- How Financial Parasites and Debt Destroy the Global Economy', speaks to Ross Ashcroft about the difficult choice faced by Americans in the upcoming US elections."

Senior social workers and police officers falsified and destroyed records

"Senior social workers and police officers falsified and destroyed records after Kids for Cash UK exposed evidence of harm to a twelve-year-old Derby boy whose mother was found by a court to have made multiple false allegations of domestic violence."

"An investigation by Kids for Cash UK has revealed that Derbyshire Constabulary police officers and senior social workers within Derby City Council’s Children’s Services department destroyed evidence and falsified official records to conceal severe psychological harm being caused to a child after its junior officers had been duped by false claims of domestic violence made by the child’s mother."

"In a Derby court, the mother was found to have lied to social workers and police officers and had gained the support of friends by concocting false accounts of domestic violence that she spread, over a period of months, using Facebook messaging. The mother had previously used the false allegations to secretly obtain a court order to prevent the father’s access, allowing her to continue the psychological abuse of the child. When witnesses came forward for a court trial with information that the child was being sedated and psychologically abused, the mother organised friends to seek out the witnesses and conduct a prolonged campaign of witness intimidation against them. Police officers and social workers failed to share key evidence from independent witnesses and allowed the abuse to continue. When the failures came to light, senior social workers and police officers falsified official records and destroyed evidence."

"Lawrence English, Senior District Crown Prosecutor said, `The Crown Prosecution Service made enquiries with the police to see whether [we] could replicate the [prosecution] file submitted by the police. It became apparent that not all of the material referred to by the reviewing lawyer is still held by the police`."

"Despite claims from CPS that it was willing to review the file, the Derbyshire Independent has seen documentary evidence that confirms that CPS later refused to review a prosecution file reconstructed by Kids for Cash UK after it had recaptured the original evidence, as well copies of additional evidence that had been withheld and then later destroyed by police officers."

"David Gale of Kids for Cash UK said, `Our investigations have confirmed that the mother subjected the child to a prolonged period of severe psychological abuse despite the authorities admitting to having received clear independent evidence pointing to the harm being caused. It is clear from the documentary evidence that we have gathered that senior officers within Derby City Council and Derbyshire Constabulary have failed in their statutory duty to ensure that they have procedures in place to secure evidence and to ensure that official records are not falsified by officers seeking to avoid blame. The latest evidence suggests that the police, Derby City Council Children’s Services, and the Crown Prosecution Service have colluded to prevent their failures from coming to light`."

One in six staff have quit child abuse inquiry within last 18 months

"The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, set up to investigate allegations of abuse carried out within public institutions in England and Wales across several decades, seems to bounce from one crisis to the next. The latest development is chair Alexis Jay’s new `strategy`. She announced a changed approach in the wake of concerns that the inquiry has become unmanageably large."

"But Jay is adamant that the inquiry does not need to be scaled back. Instead, its focus will be sharpened by aligning it to four major themes of investigation:"

*Cultural the attitudes, behaviours and values within institutions that have prevented child sexual abuse from being investigated;

*Structural the legislative, governance and organisational frameworks in place, both within and between institutions;

*Financial the funding and resource arrangements for relevant institutions and services;

*Professional and political the leadership, professional and practice issues for those working or volunteering in relevant institutions.

"Full details of further changes to its existing approach are expected within a few weeks. It is likely the number of public hearings will be reduced to those dealing with areas deemed particularly necessary, with many being replaced by discussion forums and case reviews. The selection of these areas is likely to be extremely controversial among survivors, many of whom have waited years for their voices to be heard."

"Views will be taken from those affected by the inquiry’s work prior to any decisions being taken, but Jay appears to be taking a more assertive approach to influence from all parties. She recognised that `they may not always support the decisions we make` and stated bluntly that the inquiry will `scrupulously preserve its independence from all parties, applying its best judgement without succumbing to undue influence from any person, group, special interest or institution`."

https://theconversation.com/bowing-to-public-pressure-the-child-abuse-inquiry-66354
"The chair of the troubled child sex abuse inquiry has written to MPs requesting they do not call her to give evidence because it would distract from her job."
"Professor Alexis Jay told the Commons home affairs committee to 'consider carefully' before calling members of her inquiry to give evidence because it was 'vital... we concentrate our efforts on continuing to progress the inquiry's important work'."
"She also admitted that one in six staff have quit the inquiry since it was set up 18 months ago as she laid bare the depth of the crisis that has hit the inquiry."
