Containment prolongs the pandemic

Professor Knut Wittkowski who headed the Rockefeller University`s Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research design for twenty years, says that social distancing and lockdown is the worst way to deal with an airborne respiratory virus.

"As with every respiratory disease we should protect the elderly and fragile because when they get pneumonia they have a high risk of dying of the pneumonia. So that is one of the key issues that we should keep in mind and on the other hand children do very well with these diseases. They`re evolutionarily designed to be exposed to all sorts of viruses during their lifetime and so they should keep going to school and infecting each other and that contributes to herd immunity which means after about four weeks, at the most, the elderly people could start joining their family because then the virus would have been extinguished."

Containment would prolong the disease

"With all respiratory diseases the only thing that stops the disease is herd immunity. About 80% of the people need to have had contact with the virus and the majority of them won`t even have recognised that they were infected or they had very very mild symptoms, especially if they are children. So it`s very important to keep the schools open and children mingling to spread the virus to get herd immunity as fast as possible and then the elderly people, who should be separated, and the nursing homes should be closed during that time, can come back and meet their children and grandchildren after about four weeks when the virus has been exterminated."

The presenter asks: "So what do you make of the policy that was enacted in the United States and in England and most places throughout the world, this policy of containment... what`s your opinion of it?"

"Well what people are trying to do is to flatten the curve. I don`t really know why, but what happens if you flatten the curve, you also prolong it - to widen it - and it takes more time and I don`t see a good reason for a respiratory disease to stay in the population longer than necessary..."

"It`s not the first cornavirus that comes out and it won`t be the last and for all respiratory diseases we have the same type of an epidemic. If you leave it alone it comes for two weeks; it peaks; and it goes for two weeks and it`s gone."

"You said the pandemic is over. What did you mean by that?"

"There are no more new cases in China and in South Korea. The number of new cases in Europe is already beginning to decline. The virus came later to the US so here we see a bit of an incline maybe levelling off within the next couple of days and if we see that the cases are not increasing dramatically that means that the number of new infections has already declined substantially and peaked about a week ago..."

"There is no indications that anything is different from a regular flu. Maybe one that`s a bit... worse than other flus could be..."

"For a respiratory disease, the flu ends during springtime when people spend more time outdoors because outdoors the viruses cannot easily spread. That is a form of containment, so spending more time outdoors [is a sensible choice].

Presenter: "So we`re now spending more time indoors. We`ve been told to go indoors. Isn`t that ... doesn`t that help keep the virus going?"

"It keeps the virus healthy, yes."

"So we should be told to go outdoors?"

"Yeah. Going outdoors is what stops every respiratory disease."

"China had an advantage that in the beginning they didn`t know what they were dealing with so it took them a long time to start the containment or social distancing which in the course of the epidemic is good because there was enough time for the virus to reach herd immunity before the social distancing started."

Presenter: "Neil Ferguson at Imperial College changed his estimate of the number of dead in England from 500,000 to 20,000 or less and he says that is because of social distancing. Now we know that the way in which social distancing was implemented in England was not very severe or extreme or efficient so this was after one day of lockdown. He announced that, in fact, it would be 20,000 or less. Is there any possibility that that number would have changed that way because of the social distancing?"

"No. Actually we have data for that... Both in China and South Korea, social distancing starts only long after the number of infections had already started to decline; and, therefore, had very little impact on the epidemic. That means they had already reached herd immunity or were about to reach herd immunity..."

Extreme measures are grotesque, absurd and very dangerous

The interviewer tells us that Professor Sucharit Bhakdi is an infectious disease specialist and one of the most highly cited medical research scientists in Germany. She says: " Today we will talk about coronavirus. This virus is spreading fear over the whole world. Germany has declared a state of emergency and imposed  extreme restrictions."  She asks: "What are corona viruses? "

Prof. Sucharit explains: "These viruses co-exist with humans and animals around the globe. The viruses are the cause of very common, minor diseases of the respiratory tract. Very often, infections remain subclinical, without symptoms. Severe infections occur almost exclusively in elderly patients with other underlying illnesses, in particular of lungs and heart."

"Now, however, a new member is on stage spreading fear around the world. Why? The new COVID-19 originated in China and spread rapidly. It appeared to be accompanied by an unexpectedly high number of deaths. Alarming reports followed from Northern Italy that concurred with the Chinese experience. It must, however, be pointed out that the large majority of other outbreaks in other parts of the world appeared to display lower apparent mortality rates and such high numbers of 4, 5, or 6% were not reached. For example, in South Korea the apparent mortality rate was 1%."

"Why `apparent` mortality rate?" asks the interviewer.

"When patients concurrently have other illnesses, an infectious agent must not be held solely responsible for a lethal outcome. This happens for COVID-19, but such a conclusion is false and gives rise to the danger that other important factors are overlooked. Different mortality rates may well be due to different local situations. For example, what does Northern Italy have in common with China? Answer: horrific air pollution, the highest in the world. Northern Italy is the China of Europe. The lungs of inhabitants there have been chronically injured over decades and for this simple reason the situation may not be comparable to elsewhere."

"What about Germany - the virus has also spread to us?"

"Yes. It is spreading in Germany and one of the most important consequence is that we now have sufficient data to gauge the true danger of the virus in our country."

The interviewer interrupts: "Which is what the German experts and politicians have done. The highest alert level has been proclaimed and extreme preventive measures have been installed in the desperate attempt to slow down the spread of the virus."

"Yes, and this is the incredible tragedy. Because all these adopted measures are actually senseless, namely, the pressing questions are answered. The first one: Does the virus generally cause more serious illness also in young people and kill patients who have no concurring illness? This would make them different from other everyday coronaviruses of the world. The answer is clearly: `No`."

"We have 10,000 infections reported (18 March 2020) 99.5% have no, or only mild, symptoms. Here, we already see that it is false and dangerous to talk about 10,000 `patients`. They are not seriously ill. `Infection` is not identical with `disease`."

"Of 10,000 infected people only 50 to 60 were seriously ill and 30 died, to the present day, in 30 days. So we have an apparent mortality rate of one COVID-19 positive case per day. Up to now..."

"Then the looming worst case scenario that must be prevented, according to the authorities, would be 1,000,000 cases and maybe 3,000 deaths in 100 days. This would mean 30 deaths a day. The aim is to prevent this `worst case scenario`..."

Presenter: "All current emergency measures aim to slow down virus spread to save lives."

"Yes. But we are looking already at the worst case scenario - with 30 deaths a day."

"Twenty deaths a day may sound like a lot. Keep in mind that every day, 2200 over 65-year-olds depart from us, here in Germany. Keep in mind that many of these carry common coronaviruses. How many are not known? So let us just assume 1% (which is surely too low). This would translate to 22 a day. And these die every day. The only difference is that we would not talk about `corona-deaths`. Because we know that these viruses are normally not the major cause of death..."

"This is what is happening. We are afraid that 1,000,000 infections with the new virus will lead to 30 deaths a day over the next 100 days. But we do not realise that 20, or 30 or 40 or 100 patients, positive for normal coronaviruses, are already dying every day..."

"So what do you think of all these measures?"

"They are grotesque, absurd and very dangerous. Our elderly citizens have every right to make efforts not to  belong to the 2200 that daily embark on their last journey. Social contacts and social events, theatre and music, travel and holiday recreation, sports and hobbies etc etc all help to prolong their stay on earth. The life expectancy of millions is being shortened. The horrifying impact on the world economy threatens the existence of countless people. The consequences for medical care are profound. Already services to patients who are in need are reduced, operations cancelled, practices empty, hospital personnel dwindling. All this will impact profoundly on our whole society..."

Coronavirus: some dissenting voices

[UK Column 18 March 2020]

Brian Gerrish: "Right. Well, we`re just going to do a quick section looking really at what the media reports are on coronavirus and some of the statistical analysis. Now I`m going to say we`re absolutely delighted because over the last few days we`ve had quite a few approaches by medically qualified people who are coming...to the UK Column to ask if we will put out information because they can`t get the information out via other sources. So is there some other sort of clamp down going on, Mike, that we don`t know about?"

"But let`s have a look at some of the simple things we`ve been given."

"This was an email where somebody was pointing out the advice from their local surgery which is basically, `Disease? We`re off.` So they`re saying that they`re closing."

"Covid-19 advice. Please stay at home (self-isolate) for 7 days without any testing regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases, if you have: a new continuous cough or high temperature. If there is no improvement after 7 days you should use NHS111 online. Please do not attend your GP surgery. As of today the surgery is closed until further notice and GPs are doing telephone consultations only..."

"So that one is quite in your face."

"But we`ve also got this sort of thing where a doctor is warning of the dangers of coronavirus hype."

"This man is spot on but he said: `This is what is really frightening me as to what is going on`, Well of course what he`s watching is massive propaganda by the larger media companies having its effect on the population. But this is not a warning from UK Column, this is a warning from a fully qualified medical doctor."

"We`ve had this slide up before. So this is the British Medical Journal where a doctor says: "`There does not seem to be anything special about this particular epidemic of influenza-like illness`. So what is going on?"

"Well China, of course, is winding down. So we`ve got a report here from a doctor who`s been working in Wuhan. He said: `Together in Wuhan and Henan we`ve managed 988 beds and treated 1,235 patients. .. Thankfully, we achieved zero patient deaths and zero infection of medics during our stay here. Out of a population of nearly 58 million...` But the point is that is good news coming out of China which of course is not being reported to the UK public."

"And the key warning from medical experts is that they have continually seen data skewed by late reporting of what`s happening in China or the failure to update the Chinese data."

Referring to the above graph: "Chinese data on the left with the arrow [is] skewing the other data on the right."

"Now, getting into a bit of detail here:"

Will learning disabled get equal access to critical care?

The charity Mencap is concerned about the latest NICE guidelines that have been put in place to deal with the extra demand for critical care due to coronavirus.

"These are unprecedented times and our NHS is under extreme pressure. But people with a learning disability and their families are deeply troubled that the latest NICE guidance for NHS intensive care doctors could result in patients with a learning disability not getting equal access to critical care and potentially dying avoidably."

"These guidelines suggest that those who can’t do everyday tasks like cooking, managing money and personal care independently – all things that people with a learning disability often need support with – might not get intensive care treatment. That’s why we urge NICE to include specific guidance on learning disability to make it clear that healthcare professionals should not judge patients on their cognitive ability when making life or death decisions. Coronavirus: where is the hype leading?

[UK Column 10 February 2020]

Brian Gerrish says: "Well we`re lucky to be here because coronavirus is getting ever more deadly in the UK. Let`s have a look at the Guardian headline... `Coronavirus: number of confirmed UK cases rises from four to eight,` and if you go into the article it actually says that it`s doubled. So it`s got the reinforcement: it has doubled from four to eight as the government announced new powers to detain people suspected of having the virus. And this is the key point of UK Column reporting this: we`ve got alarmist reports across the whole of the UK press but now we`re seeing something very, very sinister coming in which is on the back of that alarmist reporting. The government is seizing more powers, placing basic freedoms of the public at risk."

"Well this is the man behind it, Matt Hancock, `Under the measures announced on Monday, the Department of Health said people with coronavirus could now be forcibly detained and sent to isolation if public health professionals believe there is a reasonable risk an individual may have the virus..."

"So this is the hype around the virus, not around what the real facts are, but you can now be picked up and detained. `The incidence or transmission of novel coronavirus constitutes a` serious and imminent threat to pulic health. So I`m taking action to protect the public and isolate those at risk of spreading the virus. Clinical advice has not changed about the risk to the public, which remains moderate`."

"So it hasn`t changed; it remains moderate, but basically we are going to start detaining people against their will. But interesting to see this man, Matt Hancock, tweeting out: `Clinical advice has not changed about the risk to the public, which remains moderate`. So on the one hand we`re saying it`s serious and an imminent threat and on the other hand he`s clearly saying that it`s a moderate risk to the public. So lots of confusion here as to what`s going on and where this is leading us?"

"Well if you go and have a look at Public Health England it gets even more confusing. It says four patients in England have tested positive, so Public Health England doesn`t even know how many cases there are, as of the present time. `If more cases are confirmed in the UK it will be announced as soon as possible by the Chief Medical Officer of the affected country`, which I found quite interesting."

Mike Robinson: "Yes because we`ve got four countries in the Union now. We`ve got four Chief Medical Officers."

"Well that`s good, and then it says, `Based on the World Health Organisation`s declaration that this is a public health emergency of international concern, the UK Chief Medical Officers have raised the risk to the public from low to moderate. This permits the government to plan for all eventualities. The risk to individuals remains low.` "

"So we are not driving this as a nation. We are now simply cowtowing to the World Health Organisation and what we`re seeing is still alarmist reporting on what`s actually happening..."

===============

Here is another indication from the Telegraph that there is an agenda behind the alarmist reporting, bigger than the coronavirus:

[Telegraph]

"Posting anti-vaccine propaganda on social media could become a criminal offence - even if those promoting it believe the pseudoscience, the UK’s new criminal Law Commissioner has said."

"In her first interview since taking up the role, Penney Lewis, revealed she is considering whether laws should be amended to `lower the threshold` of criminality for posting false information online that endangers lives."

"It comes as the Health Secretary Matt Hancock said in September he was `looking very seriously` at making vaccinations compulsory for state school pupils after the UK lost its official measles-free country status due to a steady fall in MMR immunisation rates."

=======================

It looks like `all eventualities` might one day lead to `detained and forcibly vaccinated.` No resistance allowed.

Governor of Tavistock resigns

====================================

"The trust running the country’s only NHS gender identity service for children is under fire for dismissing a damning internal report that branded it `not fit for purpose`."

"Marcus Evans, one of the governors of The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust has resigned, after accusing its management of having an `overvalued belief in` the expertise of its Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) `which is used to dismiss challenge and examination`."

"Evans’s decision to part company with the London-based trust, after a 35-year association, will intensify scrutiny of the service which has found itself in the eye of a storm as thousands of young people considering transitioning to another gender seek its help."

"Some parents who contacted the Observer have accused the service of `fast-tracking` young people into changing gender, a charge strongly rejected by the service."

Mounting injustice against developers of GcMAF

The Persecution of David Noakes and Lyn Thyer continues.

"Lyn is defined as a terrorist in France for curing cancer. She’s not been charged with any crime, and is rotting in a French jail. She won’t live much longer. French prisons are the worst in Europe. The MHRA has seized the money from David Noakes and his wife. Their money goes to the judge, the prosecution and the Police..."

Gender neutrality: a step too far?

========================================================

Confusion is also going to be created more widely.

For example:

"Trans people will be permitted to change their sex on the next official census, despite warnings it could mean the statistics become `skewed"

"Guidance for the forthcoming survey in 2021 will give respondents the option to state their sex is `different from what is on your birth certificate`."

"It is feared the advice, which applies to both adults and children, could distort population data upon which the Government bases future policy." [This is an important point since the pattern of diseases is different in the two sexes and so are the needs for maternity services.]

Transforming mental health with apps

Towards the end of this edition of UK Column News, Mike Robinson said there was good news from the government. It was going to be `supporting each and every child and young person to fulfil their potential by transforming mental health services in this country.`

`Hundreds of new mental health workers will start working in and near schools and colleges from next year.`

`Schools and colleges will train a dedicated mental health lead to ensure young people get the help they need.`

`The first teams to begin working in schools and colleges will be in `Trail Blazer Locations` by the end of 2019`...

"So this is fantastic news," says Mike Robinson sarcastically. "Apparently 8,000 counsellors are going to go into schools to protect, well, what some mainstream media were calling a generation crushed by digital pressures. And so this is all about dealing with children that are getting involved in unhealthy online behaviours. And who`s behind this? "

"But of course it`s the illustrious Matt Hancock. Here he is, the health and social care AI boss. And he`s urging parents and also technology companies to do more to protect the young from pressures of social media. And how`s he going to do that? Apparently when he was speaking to the BBC Newsbeat, the sort of teenage news service, this morning he said there needs to be more use of apps in the National Health Service. And so we`ve got to do loads more in that area. The use of technology and apps is the way to do it. So this is a quote from him."

"`One of the things I`ve done in different parts of government is make sure that it`s more tech savvy and digital... We need more apps. How else can we maintain the business model?`"

"Because of course he has his own app. He promotes his own app. And if we have more apps we can have more apps on children`s phones and therefore children can suffer more mental health issues and then they can put more people into schools to deal with those mental health issues. And then they can produce more apps. ... It`s a fantastic business model and for the taxpayer it`s a great deal and I must applaud Matt Hancock for his brilliant business head."

Brian Gerrish: "It gets even better, Mike, because we understand that Westminster has now got an online game targeted, of course, at children; so a child can log into that particular site and experience what it is like to be an MP, waking up and having coffee and toast while you answer emails and you then follow through your day with a game generating what happens..."

"Presumably when children are playing that game it`s helping them to be mentally ill !"

Integration of Health & Social Care

Ready for takeover.

Health and social care integration in Scotland.

"The way we plan and deliver health and social care services in Scotland has changed. In 2016 we legislated to bring together health and social care in to a single, integrated system, with Integration Authorities now responsible for £8.5 billion of funding for local services, which was previously managed separately by NHS Boards and Local Authorities"

Undertakers notice additional deaths

UK Column New [17 May 2018]

Mike Robinson: "Now, we were intending to show this yesterday: yesterday`s webcast that Ian Crane pushed out. He said this:"
"About six weeks ago I was visited at the Mission Springs protection camp by a Lincolnshire undertaker come to show his support for the anti-fracking community and he made the observation... `I`m not sure whether this is within your area of interest, but` he said, `the undertaker community around the UK are becoming increasingly aware of a marked increase in deaths in England and Wales`. And ... er, we had a conversation about it. He couldn`t really put a finger on why this was but unfortunately I didn`t have the time to really follow up on this. But I`m pleased to say that there are academics that have; and, it appears that a report was actually published in the British Medical Journal in March alerting the readers to the fact that there had been some 20,000 additional deaths in the UK in the first three months of this year."

Mike Robinson: "So that was from Ian`s livestream. yesterday. You can find that on his youtube channel and also on his facebook page."

"So here is the report that he was talking about: Rise in mortality in England and Wales in first seven weeks of 2018 - It`s been updated since. And this was the graph that they were showing:"

"They were comparing the average number of deaths per week between 2013 and 2017 .... comparing that to what was going on in 2018. And you can see quite clearly that there`s a marked step change in the rise in the number of deaths... These figures are from the Office of National Statistics and what the ONS say is that on week one there is an effect from Christmas. I`m not sure if they expected there would be more deaths in the first week following Christmas because undertakers aren`t working over the Christmas period. But nonetheless, the first week there was a significantly ... smaller increase in deaths than the following weeks..."

"As Ian said... that is a total of 20,486 extra deaths this year than previously and you know Ian was making a comment about an undertaker who had come to the fracking protection camp this spring to talk to Ian about [it]... We`re hearing this from other undertakers and ... so this is something that is not local to one particular area of the country... This is a representation of the collapse of the health service. "

Brian Gerrish: "Well it`s a very cynical collapse Mike if people are dying in increasing numbers which is what the statistics show. The effect around Christmas time is a known effect; it is very sad, but people who are isolated in particular find that a very bad time of year; so the deaths are known to increase. But one of the areas that Dr Mark Jones who spoke at our recent NHS conference in Nottingham highlighted was the fact that we`re mysteriously seeing an increase in deaths around the NHS [at the] end of [the] financial year. So there seems to be death tying in with the whole financial, profit making element which is now coming to the NHS as a result of privatisation."

"I`m sure Alex will want to come in but just follow through. This is `The Mechanics of Modern murder...` This is a diagram which Dr Mark Jones has put out on his twitter and he talked about it at the conference where he is identifying how money and profit has come into the NHS and the wider care system and how since the time this has been a driver we`re now seeing - sorry to be blunt - the bodies coming out of the system."

"And this was one of the other cartoons he used, a cartoon on a very serious subject, but it does help to get what is happening. We`ve got people increasingly diagnosed with dementia for which GPs are being payed ... We had David Cameron saying that there was going to be two million people diagnosed with dementia. I think it was by 2040 or 2050. How did he know that? But of course what we can see happening is dementia equals drugs, treatments and then these people are dying in very bad ways. They`re dehydrated, emaciated and Mark Jones said that he`s also had undertakers telling him about their deep concerns with the conditions of bodies."

"Now some of this has been reported, in a way. in the mainstream press."

"When the Mail first highlighted the harrowing abuses that were taking place under the Liverpool Care Pathway, we came under ferocious attack from the arrogant medical establishment, which accused us of inaccurate and counter-productive reporting."
"Yes, as the president of the Association of Palliative Medicine conceded yesterday, in fact, we were exposing the failings of an `industrialised approach to managing dying people` that was more concerned with ticking boxes than providing a dignified, humane end."
"We welcome this vindication of the free Press - and the new guidelines issued by NICE to ensure patients never again have water withheld against the wishes of themselves or their family, to hasten death and free up hospital beds."
"But, that said, isn`t it still deeply depressing that doctors and nurses should need to be given written instruction on what constitutes the most basic act of human compassion?" [Daily Mail]
"So we`ve got the Daily Mail here commenting and it`s talking about the `industrial approach to managing dying people`.Well if you play around with the words in that sentence a bit, you`re really looking at the industrialised approach to getting rid of people. This is what seems to be happening and the statistics we know are valid. We also know Sir Brian Jarman was one of the main people who started to warn the government there was something strange happening with deaths but of course he was silenced after a Common Purpose team rewrote the Staffordshire hospital investigation and that was a Common Purpose team; that`s what it was called."

"Now if you have a look at this that was kindly sent to us a couple of days ago;  it`s a court case, obviously, of the judiciary of England and Wales. So it`s PW v Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and this is about a man who is now being cared for. He can only live with medical support and feeding by gastric tube. The family wanted to take him home but that was not going to be allowed..."
"`The Court of Appeal also resolved a disagreement about whether the full names of RW and his family could be reported. The Court of Protection, which (like the Court of Appeal) sat in public, directed that the Trust and Dr Levy could be identified, but that RW and his family members, and his treating clinicians could not be identified by name. The Court of Appeal, approaching the matter afresh, reached the same conclusion. It considered arguments made by the family members that RW would have wanted to be named, so that the nature of his condition and the way in which he had been treated in hospital could attract the widest publicity. The Court of Appeal balanced these arguments and arguments relating to the freedom of speech. It concluded that RW is extremely vulnerable and requires protection in the last stages of his life. Although he has no appreciation of what is going on, he has an important interest in his privacy and dignity being maintained. The grievances expressed by the family members are their grievances, not his. The general public interest in the treatment of people with end-stage dementia can be aired without the need to name RW.`"
"So what was actually said is that the court said: No, what the family want didn`t matter, that it should be the decision of the court to decide what happens to this man. So we`re seeing this more and more. If you think you are there to look after your loved ones, the British state says: `No no no, the state is going to decide on what happens to your children, Alfie Evans. The state is going to decide when your mum and dad die.` So very serious stuff."

"And Alex this in fact will lead us on to the Hofschroer  case which I`ve got one slide for, but I don`t know whether you`d like to comment on those very worrying statistics we`ve just covered."

Alex Thomson: "I would yes. About a decade ago now Common Purpose embedded in the Register Offices of various London boroughs and they`ve since spun off into other names like Patchwork and Futuregov but Common Purpose effectively started agitating and taking over the human resources departments of the London boroughs and the rest of the country in registration and one of the things they got changed was the very unusual arrangement we have, even within common law countries, whereby  ... registrars of births and deaths and the superintendent registrars above them who also conduct the marriages and keep the registers, these people had been ...  statutory officers... That means councils only dealt with their pay; they did not have control over them and boss them about. They were actually our public employees nationally. That did change in legislation at the end of the Brown labour government or the beginning of the conservative liberal coalition government ...[He is not sure if this applies to Northern Ireland and Scotland.] But as a result of this, registrars who are of course the other people who see ... these dead people rising and they see much more than the usual new year peak which happens with old people in the cold weather and festivities and so on, these are the only other people who are in the first line, other than the undertakers of seeing what is happening."

"Undertakers are of course self employed mostly or work for private chains whereas the registrars have now had their mouths stopped. Since a few years ago under Common Purpose leadership they have become employees of tightly run tyrannical local councils. So it is really up to registrar whistleblowers or more particularly I think to undertakers to point out what`s going on. It`s almost as if people knew several years ago that this was coming down the pipeline. "
