Lord Janner appeared in court

"Lord Janner has appeared in court for the first time over historical child sex abuse charges."

"The 87-year-old, who has dementia, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court for less than a minute."

"Lord Janner faces 22 charges spanning the 1960s to the 1980s and was told his case would be sent to crown court."

"His attendance comes after the judge warned he faced arrest if he did not appear following repeated efforts by his lawyers to avoid him turning up."

"The appearance, during which Lord Janner confirmed his name, was brief, with the charges read out after he left and the full hearing taking less than 12 minutes."

"He is accused of 15 counts of indecent assault and seven counts of a separate sexual offence, against a total of nine complainants. "

The private banking scam

From `Collective Evolution`:

"Recently, constitutional lawyer Rocco Galati won yet another round of appeals set forth by the Bank of Canada in a case involving two Canadians who filed an action in federal court to restore The Bank of Canada to its original purpose and operations...."

"The initial federal court filing took place on December 12th, 2011 by Canadian constitutional lawyer, Rocco Galati, on behalf of Canadians William Krehm, Ann Emmett, and COMER (Committee for Monetary and Economic Reform)..."

"According to WestCoastNativeNews: ... "

"The Plaintiffs state that since 1974 there has been a gradual but sure slide into the reality that the Bank of Canada and Canada’s monetary and financial policy are dictated by private foreign banks and financial interests contrary to the Bank of Canada Act."
"The plaintiffs state that the defendants (officials) are unwittingly and/or wittingly, in varying degrees, knowledge and intent engaged in a conspiracy, along with the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), Financial Stability Forum (FSF), International Monetary Fund (IMF) to render impotent the Bank of Canada Act as well as Canadian sovereignty over financial, monetary, and socio-economic policy, and bypass the sovereign rule of Canada through its parliament by means of the banking and financial systems. "
http://www.pacificfreepress.com/news/1/10573-confronting-global-finance-in-canadas-courts.html
"The truth is, The Bank of Canada used to issue debt free loans to the government, which meant that the nation would not go into debt to private banking institutions. When that changed, private bankers/corporations essentially gained control and ownership of the country..."

" (It) goes back to the fact that there are leaders in our world, beyond government, who are systematically manipulating various systems and structures... across the globe to control the population. Once viewed as wild conspiracy theories, this understanding is becoming not only self-evident, but publicly accepted knowledge as well. This latest case helps to illustrate how these ‘elite leaders’ are intentionally making moves that are not beneficial for the people whatsoever."

Some of the world leaders met in Canada in 2011. Paul Martin was the keynote speaker at G20 where there was a mass protest never seen before in Canada`s history.  He said:  "Nation States can no longer handle their own economies. There must be international laws... What we must have is global economic governance."

Let`s hope Canada can show the world the way out !

Ban Ki-moon calls on young people to join forces with the United Nations

"Youth movements and student groups are challenging traditional power structures and advocating a new social contract between States and societies."

At least Ban Ki-moon got that right.

"In a snub to the government, youth organisers preparing today’s commemoration of International Youth Day refused to invite anyone from the government to address the festivities."

"Organisers said the move was a response to the violent police crackdown on students protesting against the National Education Law. Hundreds of young activists are still behind bars awaiting trial, despite international criticism of the government’s action."

“Our student movement will not cooperate with the government. The government and the hluttaw ignored students’ requests on the National Education Law … and broken their promises,” said Ko Aung Nay Paing from the Union of Burma Federation of Student Unions, who is also one of the event’s organisers. "

“If they want to restore the relationship between students and the government, they will release arrested students and initiate more reforms to the education law,” he said.

Ko Lin Htet Naing said, “It’s also important to know who will draw up the university charters. If this is done by a commission formed by the government or the hluttaw, it will not be properly free.”

He said that despite an agreement reached at government-student “four-party” talks, the essence of the law remained unchanged. “If this law stands, our country will still have the reputation that its graduates are uneducated,” he said.

Ban Ki-moon said that this year governments would adopt a new global agenda for sustainable development and a new agreement for climate change. He urged youth to join together for peace, justice, human rights and dignity.

There is no sign of peace or human rights or dignity for the world, just yet...but there will be a new set of goals for sustainability...

Scottish Councils breach data protection rules

"The theft of a laptop containing the details of 200 children is among 250 breaches of data protection rules committed by Scots councils."

"The computer, which was stolen from Aberdeenshire Council, was later recovered by police and no disciplinary action was taken."

"Glasgow City Council recorded the most breaches of any Scottish local authority between April 2011 and April 2014, according to a new report from privacy campaigners Big Brother Watch."

"The local authority was responsible for 128 incidents, followed by West Lothian (88), North Lanarkshire (28), Aberdeen and Stirling, both with 13."

"The City of Edinburgh Council and South Lanarkshire Council both refused the Freedom of Information Request from Big Brother Watch."

"More than 75% of breaches connected with loss or theft in the UK happened at Glasgow City Council, which was also the sixth worst local authority in Britain overall. In 2013, it was fined £150,000 for the loss of two unencrypted laptops, one which contained the personal details of more than 20,000 people..."

"The number of breaches has increased by 300% since Big Brother Watch’s previous report on UK councils between 2008 and 2011."

Political correctness

Alan Watt analyses GIRFEC and the Named Person scheme which he believes is presented in a way to manage people`s perceptions, but the language is doublespeak. The scheme is about the indoctrination of children, not wellbeing.

He has a point. Certainly, sustainable development, global citizenship, tolerance for sexual diversity, the attributes and capabilities to develop the four capacities, are to be accepted and demonstrated without question.

It would be so much healthier to allow children to grow up and work these things out for themselves without state interference.

Wellbeing that goes beyond GDP

"From 17 June - 24 August, Wikiprogress will be running a Data Visualization Contest, "Visualizing Well-being" with the chance to win a trip to Guadalajara, Mexico to attend the 5th OECD World Forum. The Summary Report of the Wikiprogress Youth Well-being Consultation is also now available..."

"In recent years there has been an explosion of activity with organisations from around the world developing new measures of progress and calling for indicators that look beyond economic growth in measuring wellbeing, including those relevant to children."

http://www.wikiprogress.org/index.php/Category:Child_well-being

"In 2007, the European Commission, European Parliament, Club of Rome, OECD and WWF hosted the high-level conference "Beyond GDP". The objectives were to clarify which indices are most appropriate to measure progress, and how these can best be integrated into the decision-making process and taken up by public debate."

http://ec.europa.eu/environment/beyond_gdp/background_en.html

They go on to say: "The `Beyond GDP` initiative is about developing indicators that are as clear and appealing as GDP, but more inclusive of environmental and social aspects of progress. Economic indicators such as GDP were never designed to be comprehensive measures of prosperity and well-being. "

"The multidimensional nature of child well-being requires measures which pick up on the individual components to ensure the effective tracking of progress or regression in particular areas and to allow for effective and targeted responses. There is widespread evidence supporting this argument as well as that of looking beyond monetary poverty."

Scotland has its own eight SHANARRI wellbeing indicators which can be further sub-divided into more than 100 components to ensure the effective tracking of progress or regression of children`s happiness. Although there is still much confusion about the Named Person scheme, with many seeing it as a way to improve child protection, it is as well to remember that the scheme is part of a global push to monitor human behaviour on a much grander scale.

At Westminster, Iain Duncan Smith is looking beyond monetary poverty and has indicated he would move "to repeal the 2010 Child Poverty Act, which committed the government to a target of eradicating child poverty in the UK by 2020. In so doing, the work and pensions secretary dispensed with the current relative definition of poverty (anyone in a household beneath 60% of median income.)..."

The government says it plans to develop a "range of other measures and indicators of root causes of poverty, including family breakdown, debt and addiction, which it will put together in a `children’s life chances strategy`. "

http://www.theguardian.com/society/2015/jul/01/tories-redefined-child-poverty-no-longer-finances

The interest in wellbeing indicators and going beyond GDP is the consequence of technological advances and the potential of big data analytics to profile and track various populations. According to Professor Sandy Pentland, an enthusiastic Bilderberger;

" This is the first time in human history that we have the ability to see enough about ourselves that we can hope to actually build social systems that work qualitatively better than the systems we’ve already had… We can potentially design companies, organizations, and societies that are more fair, stable and efficient as we get to really understand human physics at this fine-grain scale. This new computational social science offers incredible possibilities." (Sandy Pentland MIT ) http://web.media.mit.edu/~sandy/

Note the word `potentially`.  Like all technological advances big data analytics has the potential for good or ill but is being hijacked by the global ruling elite.

Daniel Ben-Ami is a writer based in London who has written a book defending economic prosperity: Ferraris for All.  Visit his website here.

"What the critics of GDP miss is that economic growth is central to human welfare. Rising output provides the basis for prosperity, including consumer goods and all the other paraphernalia of modern life, such as airports, art galleries, electricity grids, hospitals, museums, roads, power stations, schools and universities. Greater affluence is not the whole story, but it will remain a central part of human advance until global scarcity is abolished."

"Indeed, the critics of GDP are motivated primarily by a hostility to popular prosperity rather than a desire to measure wellbeing accurately. Their approach is essentially a sneaky way of claiming that environmental and social problems mean that economic growth must be curtailed. The possibility that greater affluence would put humans in a stronger position to overcome the challenges they face does not seem to occur to them."

"In retrospect, it is ironic that the EU held its own `Beyond GDP` conference back in 2007. That event was hosted by the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Club of Rome (an organisation that has long promoted the ‘limits to growth’), the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (a think tank) and the WWF (an environmental and wildlife charity). Shortly after the conference, the EU descended into several years of economic stagnation. Austerity, social dislocation, misery and a surge in unemployment were the inevitable results. It is hard to think of a better illustration of what ‘Beyond GDP’ means in practice. (Daniel Ben-Ami )

Youth justice in Scotland

There will be a Youth Justice in Scotland, one day conference on
11th September 2015 at the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh.

" 'Preventing Offending', the Scottish Government's youth justice strategy, was published in June 2015, while the Criminal Justice Bill is returning to the Scottish Parliament for Stage 2 consideration. The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child is expected to raise youth justice issues in its next report into UK compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child."

"Chaired by Dame Elish Angiolini and Sheriff Alistair Duff, the Scottish Child Law Centre's conference pulls together these threads, setting them alongside current issues and the most up to date research and practice contributions..."

http://www.togetherscotland.org.uk/news-and-events/events/detail/?event=335

Dame Elish Angiolini obtained a non-harassment order against child abuse campaigner, Robert Green, in a civil court case and is now pursuing him for court costs whilst questions remain about her use of the public purse for a private civil action. Both Angiolini and her solicitor have an interesting past.

The former Lord Advocate's solicitor, Peter Watson of Levy & McRae, was later suspended by Scotland`s top judge, Lord Brian Gill, because of his links to the "collapsed £400 Heather Capital hedge fund probe and multi million pound claim against the law firm."

http://scottishlaw.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/hedge-fund-judge-suspended-sheriff.html

"Levy McRae are well known for a `colourful` list of clients, including shamed former Glasgow City Council boss and cocaine addict Steven Purcell and former Lord Advocate, now Dame Elish Angiolini who took on Ley McRae to sue anti abuse campaigner Robert Green. Levy McRae proceeded to threaten several media outlets and journalists over their reporting of the case... Levy McRae are also known to work for clients in the well known tax dodging haven of the Cayman Islands."

http://scottishlaw.blogspot.com/search/label/Elish%20AngioliniFormer .

Going further back there is the `Magic Circle` affair:

"Legal insiders, now aware of the recurring media interest in the scandal aim to lift the lid on just why several of Scotland’s most senior judges & law officers escaped prosecution for a series of activities which included "drugging young males", "kidnapping young male residents of care homes for sexual activity" and "perverting the course of justice".

"Senior judges, prosecutors and solicitors, some of whom are still serving in Scotland’s legal establishment today were accused by Police of running a child sex ring for their own pleasure. However, no one from the legal world ever faced justice for their activities, partly because attempts at prosecuting many of those involved failed, after what Police insiders claimed at the time was a deliberate policy by the Crown Office to throw the cases. Only one high profile resignation was ever reported, that of the then Lord Dervaird, who is now a high profile member of the Scottish Government backed Scottish Arbitration Centre."

"A recent closer inspection of some of those working at the Crown Office at the time of the Magic Circle affair, reveals some well known celebrities of Scotland’s legal world, revealed in reports in the UK Column : "Towards the end of March 1991 – and as a direct consequence of ‘Operation Planet’, and prosecutions relating to acts of sodomy upon teenage boys – an internal study paper was produced by The Crown Office that sought to establish a rationale for, and the extent to which, the protections offered by Common Law could be circumvented, and statute law ignored. The author of that paper was the (then) Senior Legal Assistant at The Crown Office, Elish McPhilomy (now Elish Angiolini)."

"Given Dame Elish Angiolini’s role in the online debate over the Crown Office refusal to prosecute senior members of the legal establishment who are alleged to be implicated in the abuse of vulnerable children across Scotland, and particularly in the long running case of downs syndrome victim Hollie Greig , the UK Column have published an excellent report on Operation Planet and its recurring effect today in what must be one of Scotland’s most shocking uses of the justice system against an abuse victim, her family and their campaigner Robert Green ... who was recently jailed for a year, simply for handing out leaflets on the case." [It has been reported elsewhere that the leaflets did not leave his bag, but there were successes on other occasions. See video below.]

"Scottish Law Reporter recently published an investigation into the knighthood of Angiolini, apparently recommended by the Scottish Government.  Dame Elish Angiolini was also appointed Ministerial complaints adviser to Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond. More recently, Dame Elish Angiolini was also appointed to the post of Principal of St Hugh’s College, Oxford."

http://scottishlaw.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/elish-mcphilomy-angiolinis-magic-circle.html

And now she is to chair a conference on `Youth Justice in Scotland.`

What chance is there for justice in Scotland ?

Questionable science

"Dr. Peter Rost is a former vice president of Pfizer and a whistleblower of the pharmaceutical industry. Author of "The Whistleblower, Confessions of a Healthcare Hitman," Rost is an insider expert on big pharma marketing. "

(NaturalNews) "Everybody knows that pharmaceutical dollars are what keep the "science" machine spinning, or at least that's what former Pfizer Vice President Dr. Peter Rost, M.D., contends in the powerful documentary film One More Girl, which blows the lid on one of the world's biggest vaccine scams."

"Author of the book The Whistleblower, Confessions of a Healthcare Hitman, Dr. Rost makes the case that universities, health organizations, and other research groups are constantly begging for money in order to keep their operations running. And their biggest donors are drug and vaccine companies, which buy the research results they need to promote their products throughout the health care system."
