The UN wellbeing indicators: a match for GIRFEC

What we know is that there was a UN conference in Wales which Prime Minister Cameron addressed and after that Westminster agreed to an attack on Iraq and Syria, without any clear military objectives and with the consequence that civilians and children are going to be killed or maimed and there will be no end in sight.

Britain embarked on a renewed war in the Middle East starting with air strikes ... after MPs overwhelmingly sanctioned a UK air assault against...targets in Iraq.

The Scottish SHANARRI wellbeing indicators resonate with UNICEF`s 2007 definition of wellbeing and welfare.
The true measure of a nation’s standing is how well it attends to its children – their health and safety, their material security, their education and socialization, and their sense of being loved, valued, and included in the families and societies in which they are born."

Notice how families and societies are aligned in that last sentence, almost as if societies are like extended families. Actually, that is the meaning that is being implied by UNICEF. We have heard it said before: `It takes a village to raise a child,` and that is the avowed belief of these self appointed `experts` who write the scripts for the 21st century. It amounts to planned state interference. As the war games are being played out endlessly in the Middle East it is easy to see through the hypocrisy.
