Using children to communicate climate change

Young Scot are doing their `bit` to work on children by inviting them to write directly to First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

They instruct children to tell her the things they love that are/could be affected by climate change...
Over the coming months world leaders could make decisions to protect all we hold dear. Let`s make our leaders feel what you feel and don`t lose what you love to climate change.

There never has been a global political movement quite like this before which pitches children against their parents and has children begging for `sustainable development.` See the Greenpeace video below:

A blogger stumbled across a 135-page document published back in 2008. Its title? The contribution of early childhood education to a sustainable society.

Donna Laframboise says: "Here are some of the creepy declarations to be found within its pages (all are verbatim quotes):"

educating for sustainability should begin very early in life. (p. 12)
Young children can be encouraged to question over-consumption. (p. 13)
young children have capacities to be active agents of change now… (p. 20, italics in original)
Through their learning and social activism, the children were able to highlight their concerns… (p. 22)
even very young children…can be proactive participants…as initiators, provocateurs, researchers and environmental activists. (p. 22)
learning begins at birth…and even before. (p. 54)
We must find some effective methods of teaching sustainable development that can make children understand deeply, and even shock them out of their unawareness. (p. 85)
She asks: "Has the UN no decency? Are there no proselytizing-free zones left?"

The BBC continues to play its part

"The programme – Climate Change By Numbers – purported to explore global warming from a fresh, unbiased angle by getting three mathematicians not hitherto known as arch-warmists to crunch the numbers and conclude that, yes, climate change is indeed a greater threat than we could ever possibly have imagined…"

"Now Booker has dealt with the main scientific flaws with the programme... They are as follows:"
As the world has generally warmed since emerging from the Little Ice Age 200 years ago, two earlier warming phases from natural causes, between 1860 and 1880 and from 1910 to 1940, were just as great as that of the last 30 years before CO2 levels rose as they have done recently....
(In) the past 17 years, the IPCC’s computer model predictions have turned out to be comprehensively wrong....
There have been no more floods, droughts and hurricanes than there were before the global warming scare was invented.
"Under the BBC Charter 2006, the BBC is legally obliged to "do all it can to ensure that controversial subjects are treated with due accuracy and impartiality in all relevant output."

"Not only did the BBC fail to do this with Climate Change By Numbers but it has also failed to do this with every single documentary it has made on the subject for well over a decade."

Education Scotland asks: "What wider values can we nurture in children and young people through learning about climate change?"

How about children should be provided with all the available evidence and should never be used for propaganda purposes?
